      N and NE face of Barrier Knob on the 22nd November (day after a storm). Too wet and snowy to climb. Another few days of clear weather and it probably would’ve been fine on some routes.PXL_20241121_192139561PXL_20241121_204925224

          Also, the last river before Beetham Valley Hut is very gorgey. You can either climb up towards the 1700m contour to where it eases off (red line). This gives some cool views down the gorge but if you’re keen to get to the hut quickly then save yourself the trouble and cross around the 1520m contour, which is super chill (green line)
