GOT A MOUNTAIN-BASED PROJECT OR TEAM ACTIVITY IN MIND?
WE CAN HELP.
Filming in Remote Locations
Wilderness-based Training
Team Activities
Support for Mobile Film Crews
Adventure-based Learning
Group Journeys
We’ve worked on film projects for the BBC, Disney+, and New Zealand-based production companies, providing logistical support and safety personnel to allow them to function safely and comfortably in remote places.
We can also help you facilitate your own mobile wilderness conference or training course, or provide instruction and prepare route planning and navigation challenges for your team. Delicious catering can also be included as part of any trip, no matter how remote.
“Working in natural history and adventure films, our needs are not like the average clients that most guides take on. We have technical considerations, equipment considerations, talent considerations… and all of that requires a certain degree of flexibility to working with what the light and the weather give you.
We have worked with Mountain Journeys now on several programmes, and couldn’t have asked for a better partner to oversee our guiding and health and safety needs.
Rob and his team are very knowledgeable about terrain, locations, access, and resources available, and was an integral part of the production team. He also effortlessly organised our catering and ensured we had the necessary clothing and equipment to be safe and comfortable in the mountains.
When we needed guides who would be great talent on camera, Rob even stepped in as an honorary casting director. Mountain Journeys made it so that as filmmakers we could just focus on the storytelling and know that all the other aspects of being on location in some remote parts of New Zealand were completely covered.”
