There was a dusting of snow on Dasler Pinnacles (and it was wet enough we couldn’t climb on the face) on the 17/03/2024 but I imagine it melted off pretty quickly – was raining below 1800m.

Seemed pretty good when we were up there a few weeks back. Couldn’t quite get the legacy down but water levels were low and the 4wd track was pretty good. We only went up as far as Dasler.

As of 06/01/24 doesn’t seem to be any snow on the GT (and the SE gully looks empty too, but I scrambled down the ridge).

We were up there on the 1st of December, and I think there was a bit less snow on Moir’s Mate than it looks like in that photo – we didn’t touch any snow.

If you’re going to do the GT definitely still want crampons – quite a bit of snow under the Telecom tower. The Grand Couloir, South East gully and Petit Couloir still have a fair bit of snow.

Looks like people have skiied Elevator recently (the other chutes look a bit bony).
