Arthurs Pass – Off the Beaten Track (Rochfort Basin and Waikiti Hut)

18-20 June 2021. Nice w/e tramp up Crane Creek through Rochfort Basin to Waikiti Hut via Logjam Creek. Out via Waikiti Track. DOC and Permolat managed tracks in good condition. A wee bit o/grown on descent to Logjam creek but followable on white permolat. 8 hours in via Crane Creek/Rochfort/Logjam Creek. 6 hours out via Waikiti. Would be nice to camp in Rochfort in good conditions. We had sleet but crossing snowfree.
