In addition to the stream crossing mentioned in the guidebook (which was running too high for comfort), there is a beautiful, hands-in-your-pockets crossing about 500m downstream of the Jungle Creek confluence.
It can be seen and accessed from the top of a small screen fan on the Copland track. Just look out for a massive boulder in the middle of the river. Access onto the boulder may be impossible in high flows.
From there it’s about 30 minutes of boulder hopping + a little bush bashing to the confluence.
